Installation du tandem H.V.E.C. de 12 Mev à Saclay

Abstract
A brief summary of the installation of the H. V. E. C. tandem and the helium injection system is given. The assembly started on November 26th and 1 μ A of protons at 12 MeV was obtained on march 15th. The maximum current for the maximum energy range, with protons, has been studied. The results are : protons : 2 μA at 1 MeV 4.5 μA at 6 MeV 1 μA at 12 MeV 8.5 μA at 6 MeV at 10-3.

Résumé
On décrit sommairement l'installation et la mise en service d'un Van de Graaff tandem H. V. E. C. Le faisceau de protons a été obtenu après moins de 4 mois de montage et d'essais y compris l'injecteur d'hélium. Les performances obtenues sont jusqu'à présent : protons : 2 μA à 1 MeV 4,5 μA à 6 MeV { à quelques 10-4 près. 1 μA à 12 MeV 8,5 μA à 6 MeV à mieux que 10-3 près.
